I woke up April 7, 2015 and thought it was just like any other day. Boy, was I wrong! I went to work. I teach 2nd grade. My students go to music class, which is taught by another teacher, from 2:00-2:40, and I get to work in my classroom. After music, the teacher always walks them back to my classroom. At 2:40 I was in front of the classroom writing things on the board to get ready for my next lesson. All of a sudden, I could hear giggling coming from the back of the classroom. I turned around and the music teachers was arranging the students in the back of the room. They were all wearing white T-shirts, which they weren't wearing when I dropped them off at music. The students were wriggling all around and had huge smiles on their faces. After they were all in a line, Brandon walked in. He looked SO handsome. As soon as I saw him, I knew what was going on. :) After he walked in, the music teacher, principal, aides, secretary, and many other teachers were crowding in the classroom. Everyone wanted to watch. As soon as I saw Brandon, I put my hands over my mouth. He walked up to me and got down on one knee. He held the right up to me and said, "Miss Sheanshang", but because there was so much going on, I wasn't even looking at him. So, Brandon held the ring up higher and said again, "Miss Sheanshang, (this time he had my full attention) will you marry me?" I said yes and pulled him up to hug and kiss him. All of my students started saying "Gross" or "Ahhhh!" Everyone was cheering. It was so fun! I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face. I was on cloud 9.
I absolutely loved that Brandon involved my whole class and purposed at my school. All week I had random students come up to me and inform me that I was engaged. I had parents call to congratulate me, and students writing me notes saying how happy they were for me. It was perfect!
Here are some pictures of the 2nd best day of my life:
It was the most amazing day! A few weeks later, Brandon came to eat lunch with me. We could hear second graders walking by saying, "He's handsome", "He's tall", and "That's Miss Sheanshang's fiancé." Ha ha!
